Happy First Birthday Julia!
For the first birthday of my little princess ( that was on 8 February, but celebrated the 14th) I made the cake topper and small cadeau homage to the guests. Both are inspired by the Kokeshi Dolls, but these are my own reading of the classic Japanese dolls, which I fell in love with for some time, both for their appearance and their meaning (which I will mention some depth below).
This is the - very good - the cake for Julia (created on my design but not by me) with the cake topper Kokeshi ^ ^
These mini Kokeshi (after you've applied the chains key rings) are cadeau for guests (based on it says Giulia - 1 year):

Le bambole Kokeshi sono molto popolari anche nel Giappone contemporaneo, sia come ornaments of the houses, is considered by some as objects of good omen against bad luck.

The "Kokeshi" usually represent stylized female figures, facial expressions are very delicate and are inscribed under the name of the person to whom the doll is donated or given significant.
Besides being collected all over the world, these traditional Japanese dolls are usually given away to special people, and, in northern Japan, the tradition has it that a newborn child is given an Kokeshi who has his same height and carry based on the name, date of birth, height and weight of the child.
